LOS ANGELES & MANILA, January 12, 2021) Ingrooves Music Group, a world leader in music distribution, marketing and technology, has named Guji Lorenzana Country Manager of the Philippines. The company’s continued expansion into Asia includes signing the Philippines-based Curve Entertainment label to a global distribution deal. The agreement includes future releases from Broadway superstar Lea Salonga, The Ryan Cayabyab Singers of the Philippines’ National Artist for Music Ryan Cayabyab, and multi-platinum singer and actress Geneva Cruz.
Curve Entertainment is an important part of OPM (Original Pilipino Music) and has a catalog that represents OPM in the market. This signing underscores the region’s importance in the global music market. In addition, Curve artists recently received two nominations for the Philippines prestigious Awit Awards. Gameboys OST garnered a nomination for Best Song Written for a TV, Movie, Stage Play for “Ngayon,” and Tristan Castro’s “Midnight Cruise” earned a nomination for Best Instrumental Performance.
U.S.-born Lorenzana spent more than a decade as an actor, performer and radio personality in the Philippines before launching Open Door Artists, a successful artist management company. More recently, he oversaw music programming for YouTube Music in the Philippines.
