Robb McDaniels founded INgrooves Music Group in 2001, when he saw an opportunity for a music distribution company to bring hard-to-find dance and electronic music recordings to the U.S. market. Since then, INgrooves has helped thousands of independent labels and artists sell their music on hundreds of retail platforms all over the world. Robb remains on the edge of new technological developments in the music business. He has emerged as an industry thought leader on the subject of “cloud based” streaming models, regulatory changes for ISPs and the increasing popularity of mobile and web applications as the new interactive format for media consumption.
Robb’s leadership and innovative thinking has resulted in featured stories in Forbes, Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Business Week, Entrepreneur and was named to Billboard Magazine’s “40 Under 40” list in both 2012 and 2013.
Co-Founder & General Counsel
Matt was a Co-Founder of Isolation Network, Inc., and is currently the Company’s General Counsel. He oversees the Legal & Business Affairs, Corporate Development and Human Resources groups, as well as mergers & acquisitions and equity & debt financing. He previously also served as the Company’s Chief Operating Officer and was instrumental in the closing of several private equity rounds, including investments by Shamrock Capital and Universal Music Group, and the acquisition of Fontana Distribution LLC.
Before working as an executive, Matt worked as a corporate lawyer from 1995 until 2002. He has worked on dozens of mergers, acquisitions, private equity financings and IPOs as both company and underwriters’ counsel during his career. Matt received his law degree, magna cum laude, from Stetson University in 1995 and his B.A. in Finance, summa cum laude, from the University of South Florida in 1992.
As General Manager of INgrooves, Amy Dietz oversees day-to-day operations of one of the world’s most successful independent music distributors. A veteran player in the independent music distribution space, Dietz’s expertise in both traditional and emerging music revenue streams makes her a perfect fit for INgrooves, which has invested heavily in proprietary distribution technology, as well as analytics & accounting/reporting tools for the modern record business.
Amy came to INgrooves from Alternative Distribution Alliance (ADA), where she rose from a regional advertising manager to Vice President of Label and Artist Development. While at ADA, she took an active role in developing and managing the company’s label partner services including global physical and digital distribution, merchandise sales, direct-to-consumer sales, general sales and marketing.
Early on, Amy began her career in music with Title Wave, a Minneapolis mom-and-pop record and video outfit where she learned the retail business from head to toe. She then segued to the independent label Red Decibel, who was releasing albums from mostly Midwest hard rock bands.
SVP Artist Services (INresidence)
Bryan began his career at Sony Music as a College Rep & Field Marketing Rep before moving to Universal Music Group Distribution in 1998 as an Artist Development Representative.Shortly thereafter, he moved to LA to run the field team as Director of Artist Development working closely with Interscope, A&M, Geffen & Dreamworks Records. He oversaw successful marketing campaigns of a diverse array of acts including Weezer, Beck, 50 Cent, Game, No Doubt, Jimmy Eat World, All American Rejects, AFI, Eminem, and many more. In 2005 he was asked to establish and run marketing & label management as Vice President of Marketing at the newly formed Fontana Distribution. As Senior Vice President of Label & Artist Development at INgrooves, he has overseen a wide range of areas including Label Management, Marketing & Label Services, Product Development & D2C, Partnerships & Brand Marketing, A&R, International, Branding and more.
SVP, Rights Services
As head of INgrooves’ rights services division, Olivier oversees the music publishing, neighboring rights and licensing divisions.
Prior to joining INgrooves, Olivier was President of VP Records and Greensleeves Publishing. During his stint at VP Records, Olivier worked with Sean Paul and albums by The Black Eyed Peas, No Doubt, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Chris Brown, DJ Diplo and Rihanna among others.
Before VP Records, Olivier was the founder of The Reel Factory, an integrated video production and marketing company that developed projects for studios, networks and brands such as Nike, Heineken, MTV, Pearl Jam, among others.
Olivier started his career as a session bass player and record producer before joining Sony Music and BMG Entertainment. He holds a Masters in International Business from Columbia University and a B.A. from Haverford College.
SVP & Managing Director, International
Prior to joining INgrooves in 2009, Alex was with RoyaltyShare Inc., where he served as a consultant during the transition period after they acquired the assets of Broad Street Digital, where Branson served as Vice President, Sales and Marketing. He was part of the original management team of Rightsrouter, the previous incarnation of Flowphonics (later Broad Street Digital), during the period when they ran the Musicindie project for the UK record label trade body, AIM. Earlier on, Mr Branson managed the licensing operations for the Nokia music service "Music Recommenders" as part of the team at UK agency Frukt Music.
