Dave leads the Global Business Development & Strategy efforts at INgrooves. Soon after graduating from Villanova University’s College of Commerce and Finance, he began his career at Price Waterhouse in Philadelphia. He later found himself advising IPO clients in Silicon Valley. That position led Dave to become involved with ITU Ventures, which invested in early stage technology companies that were emerging from college and university campuses.
His work attracted the attention of Universal Music Group (“UMG”), and he was invited to join their new business analysis division. In 2004, UMG decided to diversify their distribution model to super serve developing and independent artists leading to the creation of a brand new independent distribution division, Fontana. Zierler ultimately became Fontana’s first employee, creating its financial infrastructure and working on all of its major deals. Dave joined INgrooves in 2008.
