(LOS ANGELES, CA) 311 posted huge numbers at retail this week with their 11th studio album Stereolithic which was released last week on their own 311 Records label via INgrooves Music Group distribution with the Company’s INresidence Artist Services providing marketing services. The band sold more than 40,000 units in the album’s first week of release, which put the band at #6 on Soundscan overall, making it the #1 Rock album and #1 Independent album in the country.
The showing marked 311’s 9th consecutive Top 10 album debut.
The INgrooves/INresidence combination has proven to be a very effective one-two punch for bands and indie labels needing the marketing muscle previously only available at the major label level.
